This year we are supporting local dog rescue Jerry Green’s as one of our charities of the year. Jerry Green’s help hundreds of dogs find their perfect forever homes after a rough start in life, and they are always happy for any help anyone can offer.
I rescued a dog 6 years ago and I am so pleased we opened our home to him. Dino is a big friendly giant who loves cuddles, going on adventures and who LOVES to sing along to all my sons’ favourite TV show theme tunes. We couldn’t imagine our lives without him in it now.
And as a company full of dog lovers and owners, we all know how important a charity like this is and how much hard work goes in to rehoming and saving a dog.
So, we aim to help them get back on their feet as much as we can after COVID, like many places, knocked them off their feet for a bit. We were able to donate a table and chairs for them to use as a meeting room/ break room. They work so hard and now they can take a break/ have a meeting somewhere a bit more comfy.
We have a few ideas up our sleeves for fundraising but the first fundraising event we are taking part in is The Normanby Hall 10K adventure race, which is taking place on March 27th. Our very own Accreditation and customer service coordinator, Adam, is taking on the challenge and is hoping to raise some funds for Jerry Greens. Adam has been training for this and enjoys running and is looking forward to the challenge, and is also hoping to raise a sufficient amount for the charity.
